APOLOGY (#8): My channel CAST Of CHARACTERS Live was nearly permanently banned from YouTube. That was quite a shock after being banned from Facebook for 5 weeks while they decided my 15.5 minute documentary “Racism in America: Why Black Lives Matter” wasn’t hate speech against white people.

Over the Christmas and New Year holidays I spent nearly 80 hours researching and making a 38 minute documentary about a singer/songwriter who died of Covid-19 last April. It was the best work I’ve ever done, but it resulted in copyright infringement complaints to YouTube. I may be able to show it to you soon!

I’ve now gone to YouTube Copyright Infringement School and written a letter of apology and explanation to the record company. Hopefully that will resolved the situation. I was informed by YouTube that one more complaint would result in CAST Of CHARACTERS Live being permanently banned. That would mean that a year’s work would go down the (You)Tubes.

When you have sometime, take a look at the Playlists for friends Tom Paxton and Tonio K. on CAST Of CHARACTERS Live, hopefully still on YouTube. The Musical Documentaries, as Tom Paxton suggested I call them, were made with their approval. If you have never heard of Tonio K. you are in for a musical treat, even if some of the images I provided are a little disturbing. That’s Tonio, AKA Steven Kirkorian, second from the left, and Tom Paxton next to Cathy. You meet the greatest people in San Miguel de Allende.
